Conflict

Conflict

One conflict in a movie that I have experienced is when Marlin is looking for his son Nemo in Finding Nemo. His son gets kidnapped and he must swim across the worlds oceans to find and bring back Nemo. He has to overcome sharks and jellyfish along the way as well as his companion Dory getting him into trouble. One conflict that I have encountered in real life is when I was struggling in my math class and had a test the next day. I studied for hours on end for the test and ended up getting an A on the test. I was very happy about this. One idea for a conflict in a movie is a man and his daughter surviving in an apocalypse and him slowly dying so he has to train his daughter to survive in this harsh world. It could end with his daughter surviving the apocalypse

Nightmare

My Nightmare

One time I had the worst nightmare imaginable. It wasn’t even only just a nightmare. I constantly suffer from sleep paralysis. It’s the feeling of being paralyzed when you are technically asleep but your aware of being asleep and feel awake. My dream consisted of being trapped in a small room that constantly decreased in size. I hate being in small places so this was not good. I realized I was awake halfway through this dream and tried to wake up. I couldn’t though and soon realized that I could not move. I was paralyzed. I tried to thrash around but could not and this  caused me to panic. This happens on occasion but this time it was especially bad because I was panicky. I calmed myself down and just decided to try to control my dream. This is called lucid dreaming. I have been able to do this before. I changed my nightmare and I was all better.

Elephant Man Review

Elephant Man Review
I really enjoyed the film The Elephant Man. It had tremendous imagery and makeup design. John Merrick was my favorite character of the film. At the beginning of the film us as the audience are frightened by John Merrick but as the movie goes on we grow more sympathetic towards him and begin to care for him. We learn that he isn’t an animal but a human being that deserves to be treated as one. The whole cast of characters is interesting and the all pull of solid performances. The only minor con about this movie is that in the beginning the pace is very slow however is picks up and gets very interesting. My favorite part of the movie would have to be when John Merrick gets a standing ovation at the theater that he attended. It is very touching that people would do this. The most chilling part of the movie would have to be when John Merrick shouts that he is a “Human Being”
