Compassionate Science

Compassionate Science

If I was a scientist I would create a system that allows for everyone to have access to free water. I personally don’t have interest in being a scientist because it isn’t something I’m interested in. But if I did become one I wouldn’t do everything for free. I would need money to survive and to also to enjoy my adulthood. I believe that scientists deserve compensation for their work and shouldn’t be expected to survive on nothing. Helping people should be given an incentive because then more people will pursue compassionate science. More people would benefit if compassionate scientists got paid more.

Future

The Future

The future will be a dark desolate place. The world will have gone through a third world war that ended with the nuclear destruction of the entire planet. The world, in 30 years, will be going through a nuclear winter. Small colonies of humans survive in subway metros and underground cities. The surface oxygen is toxic so anyone that goes to the surface must wear gas masks. A new species will have evolved that absorbs radiation to sustain itself. It will be flesh eating and extremely intelligent. Humans that go to the surface face many different species that have mutated from the animals we know now. A safe haven will be searched for by humans throughout the country. It is a city in a dome that has pure clean air and water as well as a lot of food. People in the city will fear the outside and anyone that breaks a law in the city is kicked to the outside where they will die due to the contaminated air.

The Time I Laughed

Laughed Really Hard

The last day of middle school was really fun. My friends and I went to Disneyland on our last day. We were extremely excited to go on many rides. Many of my friends had never actually been to Disneyland but I had numerous times. We planned to go on as much rides as possible but we wanted to go on Splash Mountain first. Because my friends hadn’t been to Disneyland they didn’t know what to expect but I did. All of us took up 2 whole logs on the ride. We got drenched in the first couple drops and we were having a lot of fun. As we ascended to the final drop on friend in particular was freaking out. The log tipped and we got so drenched, it was unimaginable. We all burst out laughing because we were so wet.

Modern Times

Modern Times Review

“Modern Times” was a very entertaining and funny. It had great acting by Charlie Chaplin. This silent film dealt with the emotions and situations that came about during the great depression. I enjoyed this movie because it had funny situations that Charlie Chaplin’s character “The Little Tramp” had to deal with such as him having to sing a song without knowing the lyrics in front of an audience. Charlie Chaplin’s girlfriend was a very interesting character as well. The pace of the movie was slow at first but really picked up after he left the factory. The stunts that Charlie Chaplin performed were also very cool. The movie was both gloomy and funny at different moments but neither mood overpowered the other.
