Nightmare
My Nightmare
One
time I had the worst nightmare imaginable. It wasn’t even only just a
nightmare. I constantly suffer from sleep paralysis. It’s the feeling of being
paralyzed when you are technically asleep but your aware of being asleep and
feel awake. My dream consisted of being trapped in a small room that constantly
decreased in size. I hate being in small places so this was not good. I
realized I was awake halfway through this dream and tried to wake up. I couldn’t
though and soon realized that I could not move. I was paralyzed. I tried to
thrash around but could not and this caused me to panic. This happens on occasion but this time it
was especially bad because I was panicky. I calmed myself down and just decided
to try to control my dream. This is called lucid dreaming. I have been able to do
this before. I changed my nightmare and I was all better.
Elephant Man Review
Elephant Man Review
I really enjoyed the film The
Elephant Man. It had tremendous imagery and makeup design. John Merrick was my
favorite character of the film. At the beginning of the film us as the audience
are frightened by John Merrick but as the movie goes on we grow more
sympathetic towards him and begin to care for him. We learn that he isn’t an
animal but a human being that deserves to be treated as one. The whole cast of
characters is interesting and the all pull of solid performances. The only
minor con about this movie is that in the beginning the pace is very slow
however is picks up and gets very interesting. My favorite part of the movie
would have to be when John Merrick gets a standing ovation at the theater that
he attended. It is very touching that people would do this. The most chilling
part of the movie would have to be when John Merrick shouts that he is a “Human
Being”

Compassionate Science
Compassionate Science
If I was a scientist I would create a system that allows for
everyone to have access to free water. I personally don’t have interest in
being a scientist because it isn’t something I’m interested in. But if I did
become one I wouldn’t do everything for free. I would need money to survive and
to also to enjoy my adulthood. I believe that scientists deserve compensation
for their work and shouldn’t be expected to survive on nothing. Helping people
should be given an incentive because then more people will pursue compassionate
science. More people would benefit if compassionate scientists got paid more.
Future
The Future
The future will be a dark desolate place. The world will have
gone through a third world war that ended with the nuclear destruction of the
entire planet. The world, in 30 years, will be going through a nuclear winter.
Small colonies of humans survive in subway metros and underground cities. The
surface oxygen is toxic so anyone that goes to the surface must wear gas masks.
A new species will have evolved that absorbs radiation to sustain itself. It
will be flesh eating and extremely intelligent. Humans that go to the surface
face many different species that have mutated from the animals we know now. A
safe haven will be searched for by humans throughout the country. It is a city
in a dome that has pure clean air and water as well as a lot of food. People in
the city will fear the outside and anyone that breaks a law in the city is
kicked to the outside where they will die due to the contaminated air.
The Time I Laughed
Laughed Really Hard
The last day of middle school was
really fun. My friends and I went to Disneyland on our last day. We were
extremely excited to go on many rides. Many of my friends had never actually
been to Disneyland but I had numerous times. We planned to go on as much rides
as possible but we wanted to go on Splash Mountain first. Because my friends hadn’t
been to Disneyland they didn’t know what to expect but I did. All of us took up
2 whole logs on the ride. We got drenched in the first couple drops and we were
having a lot of fun. As we ascended to the final drop on friend in particular
was freaking out. The log tipped and we got so drenched, it was unimaginable.
We all burst out laughing because we were so wet.
Modern Times
Modern Times Review
“Modern Times” was a very entertaining
and funny. It had great acting by Charlie Chaplin. This silent film dealt with
the emotions and situations that came about during the great depression. I
enjoyed this movie because it had funny situations that Charlie Chaplin’s
character “The Little Tramp” had to deal with such as him having to sing a song
without knowing the lyrics in front of an audience. Charlie Chaplin’s
girlfriend was a very interesting character as well. The pace of the movie was
slow at first but really picked up after he left the factory. The stunts that
Charlie Chaplin performed were also very cool. The movie was both gloomy and
funny at different moments but neither mood overpowered the other.

Bullying
Bullying
My
thoughts on bullying are that people who are being bullied deserve help to stop
the bully. They should get help from a teacher, friend, parent or sibling. Most
bullies have dysfunctional families at home so they take it out on other
people. If the family gets help and sorts their issues then the bully wouldn't
need to take it out on somebody who is innocent. The victim of the bully shouldn’t
get in trouble if they have to fight back. It is self defense and they shouldn’t
get in trouble for it. However it is better if the victim tells someone so It does
not lead into that scenario. People who bully should get severe consequences so
they don’t try to do it to somebody else. Kids should also be taught the severity
and consequences of their bullying on their victim. Everybody who sees someone
getting bullied should intervene and stop it before it escalates.

My Favorite Movie
My Favorite Movie
My favorite movies are Finding Nemo and Toy Story.
These are my favorite movies because I grew up while watching them. I have good
memories of watching theses movies with my family. I have a lot of childhood
memories with these movies and they make me feel nostalgic. I really like when
I go back to watch these movies because they are timeless. These movies remain
my favorites because all the characters are memorable and funny. They also have
great animation and voice acting. The plots of these movies are all very good
as well. I also like that these movies can be enjoyed by many different ages.
Children and adults can all appreciate these movies.
